Small disposal fees apply to a few items: fridges, freezers & AC units +$25 (required Freon handling), tires +$5 each, and older console TVs or large electronics.

Good news: Ada County offers a free Household Hazardous Waste drop-off at 10300 N. Seamans Gulch Rd., open Fridays & Saturdays, 8am–6pm. Regular alkaline batteries (AA, AAA, C, D, 9V) are fine in your normal trash.
